Operation Write Home ......

I first learned of Operation Write Home almost two years ago, when I stumbled into a Memorial Day Bloghop.  Since I love creating cards, and often have lots of leftovers after participating in challenges, sketches, etc., I began creating cards for OWH on a more regular basis.

OWH provides military personnel with handmade only cards, to help encourage contact with family and friends at home.  The OWH blog, OWH Stars and Stamps, regularly posts sketches, challenges for cardmakers, along with notes and sometimes video from the military personnel who receive and use these cards.

Happy Anniversary

Our daughter and son-in-law just celebrated their 5th Anniversary.  This card represents our "toast" to them.

Wedding

Congrats to the Bride and Groom.  This card I whipped up for a wedding we're going to about an hour from now.  Friends of our with a yours and mine for a total of five kids!!  Many happy years of married life to Ricky and Sonya!!

Happy Birthday to you....

Today is our daughter's birthday... we drove up to Portland this past weekend to celebrate with her and her family.  Her husband had arranged a Spa day for her and four other ladies... we had a wonderful time.

Sympathy...

For me sympathy cards are the most difficult to create.  I have been putting this one off for a few days, but finally made it today.

Happy Birthday.....

Today is DH's 50th birthday. Under the direction of our DD's, we celebrated with family and a few friends last night. We had a great time.
